South Louisiana Bank’s Internet Banking is requiring the implementation of TLS 1.2.** Beginning April 9, 2018, in order to align with industry best practices for security and data integrity your internet browser will need this feature enable. After that date, any communication requests submitted using older protocols (TLS 1.1 or earlier) will fail
To enable TLS1.2 in the latest version of commonly used browsers, follow these steps:
- Internet Explorer: Click on Tools then Internet Options. Click on the Advanced tab, scroll to the Security section and select Use TLS 1.2. Then click OK.
- Firefox below version 23: Open Settings. On the Advanced tab, click the Encryption tab. Select Use TLS 1.1 and/or TLS 1.2, then click OK.
- Firefox 23 and above: Firefox 23 and above are configured to communicate with TLS 1.2 by default.
- Chrome: In Settings, click “Show advanced settings.” Click on Systems then “Open Proxy.” Click the Advanced tab. Select Use TLS 1.2, and then click OK.
**Many browsers already have TLS 1.2 enabled. Unchecking TLS 1.0 and 1.1 may adversely affect your access to other websites.
